PANGKALPINANG — The Tourism, Culture, and Youth Sports Office (Disparbudkepora) of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung (Babel) wrapped up facilitating Intellectual Property (IP) registrations for creative economy players with a copyright registration service at Sun Hotel on Thursday (9/11/2026).
The two-day facilitation, held on September 10–11, 2026, marks the third year that the Creative Economy Division of Disparbudkepora has been providing intellectual property facilitation for the people, especially for MSME players. On the first day, the facilitation focused on Trademark registration, while the second day was for Copyright.
The Head of the Creative Economy Division said that the two-day facilitation went successfully. The activity was carried out in collaboration with the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law in Babel.
"All praise is due to Allah, this program is a success. Our division has carried out the facilitation for IP registration for the past 2 days; on the 10th for brand and on the 11th for copyrights," said the head division, Yuni.
She hoped that it could continue to be carried out in the coming years so that more entrepreneurs and creative enthusiasts in Babel could get ease in registering their intellectual property compared to registering independently.
Even though there are recommendations from the Office, there will be a registration fee of Rp500,000 and Rp200,000. However, this fee is fully covered by Disparbudkepora.
One of the participants from the Estora Studio community appreciated the copyright facilitation service helping creative enthusiasts, especially those working in comics and animation.
According to him, there were still many creative enthusiasts who did not understand the importance of copyright protection for the work.
"Many creative enthusiasts aren't aware of Copyright yet. They create just for the sake of creating. But, maybe in the future, there could be disputes or fights over rights," he said.
He hoped that copyright education and facilitation can continue, especially for creative communities working in comics and animation.
"Hopefully, creative enthusiasts, especially in comics and animation, can become more aware of the law, especially about Copyright," he said.
Through this facilitation, Disparbudkepora together with the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law continue to encourage creative economy players not only to produce work, but also to understand the importance of legal protection for their works.
